Terms of Use
Last updated August 17, 2026These terms are written to explain the current platform clearly. Additional transaction-specific agreements or confidentiality terms may apply to particular opportunities.
Marketplace role
LocalBusinessListings.com provides marketplace, communication, and transaction-workflow tools. The platform is not an escrow service, does not hold purchase money, and does not automatically represent any party in a transaction.
Listings and user information
Users are responsible for information they submit and for having authority to market a business. Submitted listings may be reviewed, changed, declined, suspended, or removed. Submission does not guarantee publication.
Independent verification
Business, financial, and transaction information may be seller-reported, broker-reported, illustrative, document-derived, or staff-reviewed. Buyers must complete their own professional, financial, legal, and operational diligence before acting.
Confidentiality
Users must respect disclosure restrictions, NDAs, access limitations, and seller instructions. Access to confidential information may be revoked or expire.
Transaction status
A listing, match, combination scenario, access request, memorandum, or pipeline stage is not a completed merger or acquisition. Legal status changes only through applicable signed definitive agreements and closing actions.
Professional and regulated activity
Users remain responsible for engaging qualified legal, tax, accounting, finance, securities, brokerage, and other advisors where required. The platform does not take custody of funds or guarantee transaction outcomes.
